Noah’s Ark Hong Kong Theme Park

Children’s Attraction in New Territories

Noah’s Ark Hong Kong is an educational children’s activity with a genuine ark just like in the bible – and it’s huge! They claim this is the world’s first ‘full scale’ replica although we’re not sure how to substantiate that claim. The Christian themed kid’s park is best suited to young children, although there is enough to occupy toddlers up to 10 year olds. It is kitsch in places but it does a good job of promoting sustainability, care for the environment and our fellow humans.

There are three layers to the ark, each with something interesting and educational to discover. On one floor there is a hand’s on archaeological activity, on another is a short 4D movie about the great flood that Noah endured.

Suitable for toddlers and small children, there is a Treasure House gallery with lots of bright displays explaining subjects such as Plants, the Universe, Music, Robots and Languages. There’s also a Nature Garden with replica animals (walking two-by-two, of course). For older children there is a solar observatory with a high power telescope with information about our solar system, a section to make your own gadgets and the opportunity to cook food using the power of the sun. Kids who want more physical games will love Advenutreland with a fun rope course to swing through.

There is a restaurant and café on site along with a souvenir shop.

Located on Ma Wan Island, the small patch of land between New Territories and Lantau Islands, Noah’s Ark Hong Kong is easy to reach by taking the ferry from Central Ferry Pier to Ma Wan Pier. The journey takes around 20 minutes and costs HK$22 for adults (HK$11 for kids). You could also take the Noah’s Ark shuttle bus from outside Mong Kok MTR Station in Kowloon. Round trip tickets are HK$38 per person.

The children’s theme park has several other interesting attractions nearby which can be included in the same trip such as Ma Wan Park and Tung Wan Beach.
