As Hong Kongs first family resort, this newly opened flagship hotel of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, the 400-room Disneyland Hotel, is a grand Victorian palace built on the shores of the South China Sea.Upon entering the hotel, guests will be greeted with the grandeur and excitement of a large atrium space that has become the hallmark of Disneys deluxe hotels. About Disneyland:
Lantau is one of 235 outlying islands. Although twice the size of Hong Kong Island and the largest island in the bay, Lantau Island with a population around 20,000, is still undeveloped. The main town (Mui Wo) (Silvermine Bay) can be reached by a frequent one-hour ferry service from Hong Kong.
Lantau provides a calm contrast to the hectic pace of Hong Kong with quiet beaches, outdoor pursuits like cycling through the countryside and horse-riding.
