Grand Hyatt Hong Kong

The hotel offers the flexibility of 25 meeting rooms including Hyatt's Grand Ballroom. Our facilities accommodate groups ranging between 12 and 1200 guests.

Grand Ballroom
The Grand Ballroom is able to accommodate 950 persons theatre style.

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
Grand Hyatt Hong Kong provides guests with direct access to the adjacent Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The geographical proximity of the Grand Hyatt, with 25 function rooms and 549 guest rooms, and the Convention Centre, with over 50 function rooms accommodating up to 8000 delegates, allows enormous flexibility for a conference organiser.

The Centre, which opened in 1988, forms part of an impressive complex built on the waterfront in Wanchai, part of the Central Business District. In addition to the state-of-the-art exhibition and meeting facilities, the complex offers organisers banking facilities, on-site car parking for more than 1000 cars, shops and office space.

Fast Ethernet LAN
All conference rooms are connected with copper category 5E cabling supported by a fibre optic backbone. Local Area Networks with fast Ethernet (speeds of 100 mega-bytes per second) can easily be set up within the hotel, allowing a variety of computer-based presentations to be staged with maximum reliability.

If required, the fibre optic backbone may be accessed through Boardroom I, enabling your equipment (servers, appliances, network storage, etc) to be located here for high-speed linking with the rest of the conference rooms, the internet or your VPN network.

Wireless Connectivity
Wireless equipment is located in the Grand Ballroom, the Ballroom foyer area and the hotel's Business Centre. This increases the reach of the conference room connectivity when speeds of 11 mega-bytes or less are sufficient. This infrastructure is especially useful for mobile users, wireless internet kiosks and product demonstrations.

Centralised Patching facility
A secured room houses the central patching cabinet allowing you to easily connect and locate fileservers, hubs, routers and other associated hardware. This facility allows for internal networks to be segregated for simultaneous use by multiple internal clients network security management and monitoring network performance.

High Speed Internet Access
A high-speed 'always on' internet connection is available from all conference rooms. A Cisco Ethernet Modular Router with VPN module allows the creation of your own WAN from within the hotel to an external location.

Video Conferencing
A PictureTel Concorde 4500 and three ISDN lines provide six channels (38 ½ kbps) for video-conferencing, enabling this facility to be set up with a short notice.
